A fantastic - truly fantastic shave this morning.

I used the second of my WWII UK issued OC razors and it was as good as its brother. Someone seriously need to copy that head design it is amazing.
I also used my Fitjar Isrose for the first time and really, really liked both scent and performance. Such a shame that great soap company is no more.

Razor: WWII UK issued OC razor from 1944
Blade: Ladas
Brush: L'Occitane Plisson
Soap: Fitar Isrose
A/S: Myrsol Plastic Shave (man, I love Myrsol....)

Bulldog Face Wash
Meißner Tremonia Lavender Deluxe
Mohawk 5-341 PurTech
Heljestrand 923F 9/16 Quarter Hollow
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
Witch Hazel Toner
YSL Kouros Aftershave & EDT

Two Pass - WTG & WTG (Slide)

Another shave with these wonderful Meißner Tremonia soaps, tonight it's time for the Lavender Deluxe in hard soap form.

I have read some negativity about the hard soaps in the glass jars which Meißner Tremonia supply, being just a little too large for the pucks (or the pucks just a little too small for the jars) and so the puck slips around when trying to load. Well, I popped my puck into any old pot and just gave it a good press down. The soap is not brick hard, nor is it a putty (like, say Arko) but it does have a little give to adhere to the container it is placed in.

Loading was a doddle, lathering exploded and shave performance, not to mention wash off and post-shave feel absolutely tremendous.

The scent of this soap is classic English lavender, flanked by rose geranium and cypress for a near heavenly scent absolutely deserving of the word "Deluxe". Not dry, not dusty, the lavender is pure floral and quite literally erupts upon opening the pot. Asbolutely lovely!

SOTD - Wednesday
Pre: RazoRock menthol/lime soap
Soap: Shaver Heaven "Green Tobacco"
Brush: Thäter 4125/3, 28mm 2-band bulb
Razor: Schick dial adjustable (M15)
Blade: (NOS) Gillette Platinum Plus 1973 (4)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel with 444, followed by ABC "Tabacco Verde" balm
Is it possible for a blade to get sharper/smoother with each use? YES I say, yes! First time with both this Thater and soap. The SH lathers easily and has a great fresh scent similar to RR Zi Peppino but not as deep. The Thater is just awesome as a face-lathering brush. Another effortless 3-pass BBS.

Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol
TGN 22mm Finest in Vulfix 404 handle
ATT R1 Kronos
Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Proraso ASB Eucalyptus & Menthol
Borsari Acqua Classica EDC

Cooling Proraso green felt just great on this warm day here in London.

Sometimes you come across a product after it's discontinued and sort of wish you hadn't...because it's just SO good that you already miss it.

R.I.P. Fitjar and your amazing Isrose shaving cream - it's really outstanding.
