I still love the concept of the Blackland Era and was hoping to see more of this kind of thing made - Oh well.
The level 3 plate is mild, that goes without saying, i find it a similar shaving experience to the Feather AS-W2, that is, once you find the small efficiency window and you can keep that angle throughout the shave you are rewarded with a very comfortable shave.
Today 3 full passes for a very comfortable BBS finish.
Citrus Musk is a favourite scent of mine with a nice rub of the splash to finish.
Yes, i did enjoy that.
I would love to try or buy a #4 plate.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

Wow, what a shave! Great lather and a close but incredibly comfortable shave with the AS-D1 and a new Feather blade. Quite a contrast to yesterday’s R41 shave and yet quite a similar result. Surprising.

Something a little different for me today. Decided to mix my lather in a bowl, rather than on my face.

Wilkinson Sword soap
Omega Boar brush
R45 Twist
5th shave for the Shark SS

Oh, and a lovely strong coffee....

I don't really use a bowl very often and probably used a bit too much, but the WS soap lathered up really well.

Just my usual 2 passes, with a good hot wash before each pass and a couple of cold washes after the shave.

Smooth, comfortable and trouble free. I give my face a day off on Fridays, so this blade will get its last outing on Saturday before I swap razor and blade for the next week.

Blade: Astra SP, 3rd use
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia
Soap: Stirling Campania Puck
Balm: Liz Earle Aftershave Balm Balm
Fragrance: Stirling Campania Eau de Toilette

Double post from yesterday and today as I was out and about for most of the day. The Tabac stick always comes away with me as it’s just the easiest lathering soap I own. The Stirling Campania just smells of spring and summer, and is an another regular for going away.
Back home now after a lovely break near Chatsworth, plenty of Bakewell pudding and tarts, now trying to sort the insurance for the caravan window!
