Didn't shave yesterday so nice to have a slow relaxed shave.

Neep Mixed Brush
Nanny's Home Down
Gillette Twist
Polsilver
Proraso Balm
Monotheme Vetiver

Great shave after the last Polsilver disaster, (must of been a odd duff one). I haven't used the Monotheme for a while, it was at the back of the shelf. No idea why as its great.

Tuesday

Morning, everyone.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Åžik Bay cheapo Turkish razor
Blade: Dorco (4)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave soap: Erasmic in a bowl
Aftershave: Hai Karate
Cologne: Giorgio Beverly Hills[/i]

Nice 3 pass and touch ups shave today using only my straight.

Prep: Hot wash with dove soap.
Brush: Vie-Long horse/Badger mix.
Soap: Stirling Naked and Smooth.
Razor: Kropp 6/8
Post: M&S Woodspice Balm.
Strop: Invisible Edge standard plus.

The Stirling whips up a very nice cushioned lather, the scent of Naked and Smooth reminds me of the 1903 cream although it could just be wishful thinking. The shave itself was different, I was a little nervous as it was my first time I have really tackled the difficult areas with anything other than wtg. I actually found it easier to shave my top lip using XTG with a kind of short buffing stroke. 3 nicks in all but very minor the blood flow had stopped before I have a chance to reach for the styptic pencil.

My neck area still needs work but I am learning and it seams I am improving, my DE stayed in its stand as this shave whilst no where near BBS is very acceptable.

Jim
