I'll tell you what was in them. A bunch of salty arsed sailors with few quid in their back pocket and an evening's intention of 'Any port in a storm'. How would I know? I am one. And other than that I've seen enough ships on a Christmas morning to keep me happy for a bloody lifetime. Bugger that. Right, about this any place in a storm........

In amongst this rubbish, did I actually shave? Of course I did and what a most wonderful start to the day.

Did I mention it also happens to be not just a Christmas shave but also my birthday shave. Sixty something and still never got much further than thirteen.

A MOST WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS TO ALL, YOUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS. I LOVE YOU ALL.

iv not been on much the last 3 weeks but iv been totally flat out at work.
15 hour days are basically taking its toll.
Anyway it’s about the shave ah.
The wife has bought me a number of trumper soaps
well she doesn’t understand but a swift boot up the arse has gave her a quick reminder i’ll pick from now on lol.

When she told me about the soaps i had a little anger in the face but it soon turned to joy
i have a really good poker face.
The soap for me was decent
i say decent but not good.
The scent is everything i remembered from the cream sample i had but it quickly dissipated so lashings of lather was in order & still it slowly disappeared.
However i have to say i still had a really enjoyable shave.
would i prefer the cream
absolutely but i’ll use the soap until the end for sure.
The brush is a first for me also & a private sale from Robb Moffat as this was his own brush.
Overall a 7/10 shave & more than acceptable.

A Happy Birthday wish coupled with a Merry Christmas! Have a good one! (two)
 
It's official, I'm Batman......
Hot towel out of my new Christmas present of a towel warmer. Pre-shave oil (homemade), nice lather from the shave cream. Began the shave with the Feather Artist Club DX, my "Millionaire Bruce Wayne Razor" (just learning, so I'm restricting myself to first pass on cheeks and neck until I become more comfortable). Swapped to the West Coast Shaving "Midnight 47B" or as I refer to it as my "Batman Razor". Made a traditional three pass shave and finished with a hot then cold towel, Alum stone, Clubman Aftershave and Old School Cool #4 lotion.

The soap scent is light but the lather is just superb...very slick!!
Another excellent shave with this banana-shaped favorite razor. Stropped it on the 0.1um balsa (60) then on the Kanayama. Didn't seem to improve or degrade the edge...hmmm. Otherwise, 3 smooth and comfortable passes for a bbs-ccs finish...

Was going to be a travel kit shave today. Except when I unpacked I discovered that I had failed to actually put a blade in!! A picture of my Boxing Day Buffoonery therefore, and I will have to post again when I get home at lunchtime! The redeeming feature is that I have been observing Decemboar and my travel brush is synthetic, so I won't break the rules now and will boar you all with a second post in a bit!

Talk about safety razor - the new NoBlade from Yaqi, d'oh!
