Vetiver....Guerlains and/or Encre Noir

Nice one, cheers.

BTW. I passed up on a Terre d'Hermes gift set in a local pharmacy in January... wasn't sure if I liked the scent.

100ml EDT
100ml AS
and something else.. shower gel, deo... can't remember.

Price... €60... £44.

Came home and googled it.. the 100ml EDT alone costs €90+ on AllBeauty.

Bummed.

Cheers Nishy, will look into that.

Wearing a cheapie today - Nautica Voyage, pops up in a lot of the Youtube cheapies - simple, fresh, clean, aquatic scent. Pretty safe one too, not going to offend anyone.

Bear in mind, my tastes will be differ to others, so I'm not overly confident when making recommendations in the fear that someone will berate me because they don't like the same scent.

That her Nishy ->

How does £12 delivered sound?

Nice selection Jb another relatively cheap one to try is M&S Autograph, black bottle the balm is one of my top performers and the a/s smells great.

Also forgot to mention Murdock's Avalon scent superb.

Sounds bad... that's a 30ml bottle. I paid not much more than that for 100ml on AllBeauty last year.

Will make a note of those Nishy, cheers mate.

Bad move on my behalf....

Well spotted that man.

Nautica Voyage 100ml - Fulfilled by Amazon ->

The supplier is US based, so I'm not sure how that works, but on face value it looks like it ships from the UK.

Another to consider is Creed Original Vetiver which is a dead ringer for Mugler Cologne.

I've been thinking about picking up the Mugler Cologne. Given that it is a fraction of the price of the Creed, is there any reason why you'd buy the Creed ahead of it?

The Encre Noire has landed. Courtesy of Amazon. Super quick courier delivery. £24.45. Was happy to pay that.

Some Amazon reviewers suggested the bottles they received must be fake or in some way not right as it either wore off in no time or didn't smell right. I bought this blind so have nothing to compare it to...but, thank goodness, I like it enough to think about getting the Guerlains without trying it first.

Glad you like it Stan! The dry down scent is superb I get toffee, cypress/amber and of course green vetiver.

Strangely its one of those that reacts very differently from person to person when applied.

Job jobbed, Nishy. It's a cracker. There's a china tray in the bedroom which accommodates Colognes and EDT type stuff, (as opposed to the shaving smellies which are in the bathroom), and the china tray has three areas apportioned to it. Mine - left side, hers - right side and the middle is shared stuff. Anything of mine she approves of but can't actually claim as her own, even if she REALLY want to, goes in the middle.

This one's in the middle.

I definitely don't like some (most) of hers but she most definitely has a wish to use some of my stuff....is that a bit unusual... or not?
