Razor: Gillette Vintage 109 Black Beauty
Blade: Persona Platinum
Post Shave: Alum Block and then Boots No 7 Recovery Balm

I enjoyed this shave on a setting of 6. I had just 24 hour stubble but I have a face like coarse sandpaper
I am trying some experiments mixing lathers

I'd be grateful for any tips on successful mixed lathers as not sure what a good ratio is.
Also any advice on how long to soak a boar brush for and whether to squeeze out all the water?
I think I will need to put these question sin the correct area of the forum so will do that.

I will attach a photo next time, apologies - I am new!

Prep 3P Preshave cream.
Brush Omega Italian flag.
Soap Geo F Trumpers Eucris.
Bowl Captains choice Obsidian Copper.
Razors Blackland BlackBird Titanium.
Blade Nacet (3)
Post shave 3P cream.
Aftershave Once upon a time splash.

I am glad to be using the Blackbird again as I am still dialling into the razor.

No surprises that the Eucris lather is superb and provides my darn handsome face with an exotic feel whilst protecting my skin.

Bit of a late report, as after hospital visit spent hours reading through instructions on my wife’s new hearing aids. She is not good at reading and absorbing info on gadgets.Very impressed with service provided by the Audiologist, and cannot get over getting a good parking spot without any hassle.

I've been in such a routine where my shaving gear has remained unchanged for a couple of years now - that I decided to change things up (inspiration on this forum) by buying a couple of soaps and digging through my Box of Oblivion for blades I've not used for ages.
I used to use Supermax blades for my shaves in work where they worked superbly in my Star Model 100.
Again here, 3 passes were excellent in the Super Speed - beautiful BBS finish.
A new soap also used - very, very soap soap, pretty much whipped up a lather just loading it. No real scent from sniffing the tub - but came to life loading and lathering.
Post shave was very nice to. A cracking and refreshing/ rejuvenating shave - now looking forward to using other blades from the Box of Oblivion.

Excellent. I think a stiffer knot might have helped with initially picking up the Martin de Candre, but I can’t fault the final lather. This is one soap that merits it’s high price, it’s reputation is well deserved and I would definitely buy it again, once I eventually finish the jar.
