I had had another go at a Valet razor Today with a new blade. (And a few day to get over the beating it gave me on Sunday)
A few drops of 3in1 oil on the strop and about six runs each side of the blade.
For those not familiar with the Valet strop see pic.
Its small and thin so if you mess the stropping action up the blade will cut right throw! (these little strops are getting harder to come by)
Great Close shave second pass to touch up only. :)
I Used my flash Aftershave to celebrate.

May need a day off from shaving but keen to get to 30 posts so I can PIF some samples of razorock soaps out for free.

Undecided about this brush. Like the idea of mixed boar and badger and is excellent for face lathering but feels a bit like a toy brush in my average sized hands. Really impressed with its lathering though, of what I think is an excellent (and pretty cheap considering its performance) soap.

it’s been chucking it down in Norway all week but today was nice & sunny although a tad cold.
The shave doesn’t half cheer you up.

I’m constantly evaluating my soaps in order of rank. It doesn’t really matter though, as most of my favourites are mass produced products that have reformulated to non tallow. Haslinger tallow is one such, and is outstanding. Excellent cushion, slickness and glide. I wish that I had more than one in reserve.
