S.O.T.D. Saturday 25th May to Friday 31th May 2013 ...

As i'm still travelling this week it's the:
Weishi 9306D
Ingrams (Tube)
W/S Cheap brush
Dorco (Last use 5)
King of Shaves Super Balm

3 Passes and touch ups gave a DFS. Being new to Ingrams and this brush I need to use quite a bit of product to get a 3 pass lather so I'm adding a little exra to the brush for the last pass, seems to work.
Some of you guys have a good eye with the camera, I wish that I had that eye.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep;

vintage rebranded Simpsons best
'Webly'/Tungsten Personna 74 (NOS 5th shave)
Kent SS
Neutrogena oil free moisture
Malizia 'Vetyver' EdT

Great shave with this razor/ blade/ soap combo. Easily a set up I could use every day.

BBS results,

Martin

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave (sensitive)
Soap: MWF (soap of the week) + Grapefruit EO
Brush: Muhle 'HJM' Synthetic
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Razor: Cadet OC TP02-SS
Blade: Iridium Super (1)
After: Alum, Superdrug FF AS, Limes Skin Food, Nivea ASB

MWF Week Day 4

Still no reaction to lanolin, so I guess I'm ok with it.
Lather not as easy to generate with this synthetic brush but got there in the end, or it could just be one of those days.

First time using the Cadet razor (from Shave a Buck.com), it's build like a Fatip but with a much better handle, shaves like one too. I think I need more practice with the angle as it can be pretty aggressive (like a Fatip).
Result: DFS no problems.

Thursday - very tricky as I have very restricted right arm use!

Pre: Hot towels and T&H Pre-Shave Oil
Brush: BF Tubby 2
Cream: Coates Tea Tree Limited Edition
Razor: NorfolkDick's Pass Around Merkur Futur on Setting 1 then 2
Blade: PermaSharp Super
Post: Alum Block then TOBS Bay Rum

Not exactly BBS but a whole lot better than my Gillette Fusion shave yesterday!

Afternoon, gents.

Thursday:

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Schick Injector E3
Blade: Schick Injector (6)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: La Toja stick
A/S: Homemade Farina Gegenuber
Cologne: Bronnley Eau de Toilette

No irritation and a very close shave, almost BBS. I think I had a good shave with the injector!

Razor: Schick Injector E3
Blade: Schick Injector (1)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Monsavon

I got hold af this injector a while back but misplaced it. After stumbling across it earlier this week, I thought it was time to give it a try. Very good shave. It felt a bit different compared to a DE, but it gave me a smooth, irritation-free face. Lots of fun.

Hi rob

Warm shower
Hot flannel
Speick cream scuttle lathered
Simpson Tulip 1 super badger brush
Gillette 1953 Milord
Rapira Swedish (1)
Cold rinse
Witch hazel
Speick aftershave

Lovely close and comfortable shave. It's been an expensive day for me my van failed it's MOT in a big way :( a newer one I'm now looking into. I should have seen it coming........... the rust bug got it.

Brian

Sorry about the MOT, Brian...

Hot flannel
Proraso pre, green
Simpson's Colonel X2L, Nanny's Tea Tree and Aloe Very soft soap
Merkur Progress (#2), Rapira SS (2)
Cold splash, alum block
Clinique post-shave soother

First shave with the Progress. Why did no-one tell me about the Progress before? Ooops... sorry... you did!
Lovely weighty little beast and great balance. Tried it on setting #2 first and it worked well, but a bit mild in some places. I'll be experimenting with settings. Easier to adjust on the hoof than the Fatboy/Slim.
All in all... an excellent shave
