In a hurry this morning so a bit of a patchy two pass shave.
Not my best effort looks ok from a distance.

Warm shower
Hot flannel
Speick cream scuttle lathered (soap of the week)
Simpson Rover best badger brush
Gillette 1961 fatboy set at 6
Gillette Silver blue (3)
Cold rinse
Witch hazel
Speick aftershave

Another fine and comfortable shave. A different razor and blade set up for tomorrow.

Brian

A day late, Monday 10th June.

Hot bath
Hot flannel
Cella
Wilkinson Sword blade
Wee Scot
Ikon standard baseplate with bulldog handle
Alum
DR Harris Malborough

It took a while to get the Cella going but once there it delivered very well with the Wee Scot.
A smooth three pass shave using the newly acquired baseplate. A vast improvement over the OC baseplate that came with the razor.

Tuesday afternoon

Today I experienced shaving nirvana for the very first time...

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Myrsol Emulsion
Razor: top plate from Merkur 3 peice, Fat tip base plate, and Weber classic handle
Blade: Personna Med prep (3)
Brush: Rudy Vey custom 2 Band
Soap: Martin de Candre
A/S: Myrsol Tonico Facial Formula "C" (Green)
Balm: Myrsol Emulsion
Cologne/Edt Prada "Amber"

Having been visited by SM304 yesterday, and he having deposited various wares for me to try I thought I better had.

The soap, well, it is special indeed. I have a jar of my own on the way, it lathers very very well. Get the lather on your hands and it takes a while to rinse the "slickness" away. Loaded the brush with a wee cheeky 100 swirls (Sorry Scott) and enough very nice lather for 6 passes at least.....

The "Frankenrazor" idea came from Google search whereby someone mentioned the Merkur top and Fatip base "shaves like a Darwin". I have never shaved with a Darwin but if it is similar, I want to!

After the first pass on 2 day stubble, I felt good, after second pass I had a tiny weeper and could easily have stopped there. After third ATG pass I was smoother than the day I was born! Real BBS, thought I had reached this stage before, but nope I would like to declare my first BBS. No touch ups, just smooth.

A splash of the Myrsol "C" confirmed a smooth and comfortable shave. A really nice smell, with a nice warm glow afterwards.

Finished off after 15 minutes with a wee bit more of the emulsion. I own the razor/s, have the soap on route (thanks Roefisher) but Scott has me wanting the Myrsol products......

Finished with Prada "Amber" Pour Homme..... Thank you Scott for the software loans... My wife and Bank Manager may not feel the same.

Have a wonderful evening everybody......

I celebrated with some Pigs Blood, mixed with Pepper and Fat cubes, boiled in the Pig stomach Martin.
