Yeah, he and the Good Doctor were really coming up with some great pics of a brush handle I would never think twice about when seen in a not great condition. Matter of fact I did pass one up becuase of that. Luckily, I figured out where I'd seen it a while back and grabbed the somewhat scruffy and dull looking thing. I will be contacting Mr GD Harrington about a reknot, even though the boar's actually in nice shape.

Bunch of enabling bastards........

Martin - now I'll hear that tune every time I shave the old doom

Mikey, that is better than I coulda hoped for.

As you know, I am now a HUGE fan of Svenska wood people music. This is what I listen to every morning during the shave. That sixth verse is my favorite......I laugh and laugh. Enjoyska!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQl8fURGSrA

really geting into this now and every shave is just getting better
hot shower
proraso pre shave
muhle r89
personna blades
executive shaving super badger
tobs shaving cream
and just some nivea post shave cream

why was i misold the gillette rubbish with all the blades? someone really should be advertising this stuff surely companies would make a killing?

English open comb Aristocrat (14?)
Arran Aromatics Bay Citrus shaving soap
Turkish no. 6
Schick blade dated 2001
Proraso pre/post cream

First pass very nice. Second pass a big weeper under the nose and little stubble reduction under the chin and on the neck. Gets sore during the second and touch-ups. Lots of neck micro weepers. Skin sore and red. Alternative is a not very close shave?
If anyone has any advice I'd welcome it. It seems to be either irritation-free but not a close shave or a close shave with soreness and weepers. Feels a lot like my 37 and 39 slants and I got rid of them...

Hot Shower
Swagger & Jacks Pre-Shave Oil
G-Bar
Gem Blade (1)
MdC
Semogue 620
Witch Hazel, the Alcolado Glacial / Witch Hazel mix

first try og the G-Bar on loan from a generous member, certainly more user friendly than the 1912. A good clean shave, I just need to work on my SE technique.

Gillette face wash
Prep pre shave
Kent BK2 brush

Gillette super adjustable, Black Beauty @7,7,5
Bolzano blade (2)

Good morning gents.

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave - sensitive
Soap: MWF
Brush: Semogue 830
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Razor: Fatip Piccolo
Blade: Personna Lab blue (1) - courtesy of 782sirbrian
After: Alum, Muelhens 4711 Original AS, Coral Skin Food

Treading carefully again with the wee beastie Fatip but managed a fairly smooth shave to a DFS standard.
I've been finishing off with Coral Skin Food everyday since the hot weather started as I find it's the only one that doesn't feel too oily, and leaves you smelling of roses.
